The Choke Dealer Scarface Edition

My friend, if you’re wondering whether or not you’re a choke dealer in BJJ, there are a few telltale signs to look out for.

First and foremost, you’ve probably tapped out more than your fair share of opponents with chokes. Whether it’s a rear naked choke, a triangle choke, or a guillotine, you’ve got a wide range of techniques in your arsenal and know how to execute them precisely.

Another sign that you might be a choke dealer is that your training partners are wary of rolling with you. They know that if they give you even an inch, you’ll be all over them with a choke attempt, and they might take a little nap on the mats.

But perhaps the most critical sign that you’re a choke dealer is that you’ve put in the time and effort to master this technique. You’ve studied the mechanics of chokes, drilled them relentlessly, and honed your skills through countless hours of live rolling.

Now, it’s important to remember that being a choke dealer is not the only measure of success in BJJ. There are many other techniques and skills to master, and it’s important to approach your training with an open mind and a willingness to learn and grow.

But if you’ve earned the nickname “choke dealer” from your training partners, it indicates that you’re doing something right. So keep honing your skills, challenging yourself, and tapping out your opponents with those sweet, sweet chokes.
